Cancer Awareness & Outreach Program
The primary purpose of the Cancer Awareness and Detection Camps in Gujarat is to contribute significantly to the proactive management and mitigation of cancer within the state. The project aims to address the prevailing challenges and gaps in awareness, early detection, and support systems, with a focused commitment to enhancing the overall well-being of individuals affected by cancer.
1. Increasing Awareness
- Conduct targeted awareness campaigns to disseminate information about breast cancer, emphasizing the importance of early detection, risk factors, and available support systems.
- Engage with diverse communities, including urban and rural populations, to ensure wide spread awareness and education.
2. Promoting Early Detection
- Establish and operate mobile medical units equipped for breast cancer screenings, leveraging various diagnostic tools.
- Implement regular screening camps in key cities like Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot, and extend outreach programs to underserved rural areas.
3. Providing Support Services
- Offer counselling and support services for individuals diagnosed with breast cancer and their families, fostering a holistic approach to care.
